Martin Meader is a choral director, musician, writer and film producer. He creates products and projects that uplift the world. Qualifications: M.A. (Creative Writing), Grad. Dip. Martin’s current projects include:
- Helping his son Charlie-Moon to achieve his dreams.
- The Adventures of Charlie & Moon – currently being developed as a trilogy of books and feature films.
- Writing his novellas – the first one, 24 Carrots is about to be published.
- The Alphabeticus Project – a feature film based around the letters of the alphabet. Includes literacy games called SPELL and Alphabeticus Solitaire.
- Conducting the Born to Sing choirs in Perth, Western Australia. Also includes singing workshops, song-writing and Martin’s debut album with Rob Spence, titled Inside the Heart.
FILM – In 1990, Martin Meader graduated as a directing student (with distinction) from the prestigious Swinburne Film and Television School, Melbourne, Australia. While at Swinburne, he discovered the story behind Paradise Road.
In 1997, Martin Co-Wrote and Co-Executive Produced the $25.6 million Fox Searchlight feature Paradise Road which starred Glenn Close, Cate Blanchett, Frances McDormand, Julianna Margulies and Jennifer Ehle.
WRITING – Most recently, Martin’s children’s story, The Adventures of Charlie & Moon was published in USA by www.crowfliespress.com The story is in development to become a major motion picture. Oscar Winner Jeremy Irons, Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark) John Cox (Babe), John Leguziamo (Sid the Sloth in Ice Age) and Chi Ling Lin (Red Sails directed by John Woo) have all expressed interest to be involved. Production design for overall project is being conducted by The Jim Henson Creature Shop, famous for their work on The Muppets and Sesame Street. The score is to be composed by Oscar winner, Jan Kaczmarek (Finding Neverland).
MUSIC – Martin has worked extensively for the Perth International Arts Festival (PIAF) conducting mass choirs of up to 1,000 voices and the 200-voice ABC Born To Sing Choir. From 1995-2005, he was musical director of The Real Sing and also created a number of community choirs under the banner of Sing From The Heart. Martin currently conducts the Born To Sing choirs in Perth. In 2006, Martin initiated and conducted the 250-voice, Hurricane Choir which was made up of survivors of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in USA.
SINGING WORKSHOPS – Martin has led Singing Workshops for the community and corporate organisations in Australia, UK, Canada, USA and Indonesia. INSIDE THE HEART ALBUM – In 2008 Martin and his good friend Rob Spence completed their first album titled, Inside the Heart. There are 11 tracks on the album. Ten of the tracks relate to the differenet levels of love. The final track by Rob Spence takes the listener on a contemplative journey within.
